Our yoga retreat offers you the chance to rediscover the spark within you and re-energize your body, mind and spirit. An indulgent, varied and holistic experience of yoga and wellness await you at our village while you are free to also enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our peaceful Palolem Beach. The programme is designed to help you reconnect with yourself whilst giving you enough time to schedule your day you can come for a week long beginner programe or to further deepen for 2 weeks which includes intermediate programe.
Daily classes, suitable for all levels, fluid sequencing of postures, linked with breath revitalise and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. Each morning flow will leave you energized for the day while our afternoon classes are more gentle allowing you to wind down. Both sessions are designed to help you develop your own personal practice in order for you to continue on your yoga journey after the retreat. During the retreat you will also learn powerful and safe pranayama and meditation techniques. These promote a calm state of mind and vitality. Incorporating pranayama and meditation into your daily routine is truly transformational and our inspiring retreat will leave you with the right mindset to continue on this journey.
The yoga classes are held in our beautiful yoga shala or, if we feel wild, on the beach. Because who doesn't like a light breeze of fresh ocean air on their skin, unwinding in the unhurried atmosphere of Palolem Beach and watching the sunset while balancing in your grounding tree pose.
Theses yoga retreats are perfect for someone who os beginners to intermediate level of practitioner as we believe that there is a yogi in everyone. The programme is a balancing mix of body, mind and soul transformation that helps you gain knowledge and experience. It's designed to help each student evolve on their own personal level. It's to nurture your soul, take time out and reconnect with your strength and wisdom. Our experienced teachers offer modifications as well as more advanced postures. And you are always welcome to take a break, rest and just breathe.
During the course of this programme you will have the opportunity to be engaged in a wide range of activities. However, as we know you're coming to do exactly what you want and only what you want, you are of course free to do as little or as much as you feel like. We do encourage participation as the programme is designed to help you relax, reconnect and be in a blissful state of joy establishing and dipping ur practice. The 4 Paths of Yoga
Raja Yoga - The Science of Physical and Mental Control (Asana and Meditation)
Often called the "royal road" it offers a comprehensive method for controlling the waves of thought by turning our mental and physical energy into spiritual energy. Raja Yoga is also called Ashtanga Yoga referring to the eight limbs leading to absolute mental control. The chief practice of Raja Yoga is meditation. It also includes all other methods which help to control body, energy, senses and mind. The Hatha-Yogi uses Relaxation and other practices such as Yamas, Niyamas, Mudras, Bandhas etc. to gain control of the physical body and the subtle life force called Prana. When body and energy are under control meditation comes naturally.
Jnana Yoga - The Yoga of Knowledge and Wisdom (Lectures/Workshops/Interaction/Discussion)
This is the most difficult path requiring tremendous strength of will and intellect. Taking the philosophy of Vedanta the Jnana Yogi uses his mind to inquire into its own nature. We perceive the space inside and outside a glass as different, just as we see ourselves as separate from God. Jnana Yoga leads the devotee to experience his unity with God directly by breaking the glass, dissolving the veils of ignorance. Before practicing Jnana Yoga, the aspirant needs to have integrated the lessons of the other yogic paths - for without selflessness and love of God, strength of body and mind, the search for self-realization can become mere idle speculation.
Karma Yoga - The Yoga of Action (Selfless service to community)
Karma Yoga is the Yoga of Action. It purifies the heart by teaching you to act selflessly, without thought of gain or reward. By detaching yourself from the fruits of your actions and offering them up to God/Universe, you learn to sublimate the ego.
Bhakti Yoga - The Yoga of Devotion or Divine Love
The Bhakti Yogi is motivated chiefly by the power of love and sees God/Universe as the embodiment of love. Through prayer, worship and ritual he/she surrenders himself/herself to God/Universe channelling and transmuting his/her emotions into unconditional love or devotion. Chanting or singing the praises of God/Universe form a substantial part of Bhakti Yoga.
The 5 Points of Yoga
When the body and the mind are constantly overworked, their natural efficiency to perform work diminishes. Modern social life, food, work and even the so-called entertainment, such as disco dancing, make it difficult for modern people to relax. Many have even forgotten that rest and relaxation are nature's way of recharging. Even while trying to rest, the average person expends a lot of physical and mental energy through tension. Much of the body's energy is wasted uselessly. During complete relaxation, there is practically no energy or "Prana" being consumed, although a little is keeping the body in normal condition while the remaining portion is being stored and conserved.
Our physical body is meant to move and exercise. If our lifestyle does not provide natural motion of muscles and joints, then disease and great discomfort will ensue with time. Proper exercise should be pleasant to the practitioner while beneficial to the body, mind and spiritual life.
Yoga teaches us how to use the lungs to their maximum capacity and how to control the breath. Proper breathing should be deep, slow and rhythmical. This increases vitality and mental clarity.
Besides being responsible for building our physical body, the foods we eat profoundly affect our mind. For maximum body-mind efficiency and complete spiritual awareness, Yoga advocates a lacto-vegetarian diet. This is an integral part of the Yogic lifestyle.
Positive Thinking and Meditation
Here is the most important point of all, we become what we think. Thus we should exert to entertain positive and creative thoughts as these will contribute to vibrant health and a peaceful, joyful mind. A positive outlook on life can be developed by learning and practicing the teachings of the philosophy of Vedanta. The mind will be brought under perfect control by regular practice of meditation.

The above is our daily suggested schedule at the village. Please check our weekly calendar for an overview of the different topics, classes and meditations.
Saturday is the community day off in our village where we encourage our guests to explore the many beaches, restaurants and markets in and around Palolem.
On your day of arrival please arrive at 12pm & check-in is from 2pm .
On your day of departure checkout is at 11am.

What's not included
(we can organise pick-up on request at an extra charge of INR 1,800 from 8 am to 8 pm & INR 2,000 from 8pm to 8am. The driver will assist you all the way to the village with your luggage without any extra charge or tips. In case of a flight delay you will have to pay an extra INR 200 per hour after the first hour payable to driver directly)
All deposits are non-refundable but transferable to friends/family
Postponement of the course is allowed with 12 months of booking date
Cancellation only up to 30 days prior to commencement of the course after that no no transfer is allowed( however for medical reason its allowed till the starts of the course)
You must have a valid visa to enter India.
It is advisable to take out travel and medical insurance in the event that you have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
Earth Yoga Village accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury or illness which may occur while at Earth Yoga Village or when travelling to or from the village.
Earth Yoga Village takes necessary measures to ensure that students are not stretched beyond the limit of their capabilities. We ask that you tell the teacher if you have any particular pre-existing injury or illness that is relevant or if you are finding the class too difficult. We advise that if you are feeling any pain or illness during class that you stop and rest.
If you request for us to organise your taxi, transfers are valid between mentioned locations only. They are not transferrable to another location, nor refundable. Taxis can take no more than three guests per car with luggage. Please only take the taxi that has been booked for you as you will be liable to pay for the cost for the pre-booked taxi. Additional charges will have to be paid for delays over one hour.
