Feeling stuck in that rat race or like life is flying by too fast? Our village is that small peaceful haven you crave, your go-to oasis to escape the mayhem of our modern lives. It’s a place that allows you to reconnect with the magic that lies within you and to relax. The serene setting and quiet location by the beach as well as the simple but complete and eco-friendly amenities of Earth Yoga Village let you surrender fully to just being. Being present is one of the major challenges in our fast-paced world and we offer everything you need to do exactly that.

 

We inspire personal growth through yoga, food, wellness, philosophy and the unique spirit of the Earth Yoga Village community.

 

From November to April you can enjoy daily yoga classes, meditation, wellness treatments and healthy nutritious food in our café. If you are ready for a deeper immersion we also offer yoga teacher trainings, retreats and workshops. Everything on our programme is based on healing and harmonizing body, mind and soul. Our focus is to bring you peace, wellness and happiness and we are dedicated to helping you love the life you live.

 

We welcome everyone into our family with open arms and make you feel at home. Our spontaneous, refreshing and open-minded attitude will leave you feeling relaxed and free. Earth Yoga Village is not only for yogis and yoginis, but for everyone that is looking for a peaceful and homey place to enjoy nature, community and the benefits of traditional healing methods. Regardless of what your own personal motivation is for joining us; whether it is to reinvent your life or simply take a break, we aim to make your stay in India relaxing, inspiring and a fulfilling memorable experience.

What We Do

We do everything possible to make you feel good. We do, however, look beyond the physical limitations of our own Self and the village. We see the big picture, that is Mother Earth and Consciousness. We strives towards bringing every being in harmony with nature. Our programmes, classes, retreats and workshops are based on healing from within to heal humanity.

 

We also engage in the local community and are continuously expanding our reach. To spread the love.

 

Our Vision

Peace and love are some if not the most important assets for a world free of suffering. We hold these values close to our heart and our vision is to spread this message across the globe. We want to engage and involve the local community and create a village for everyone to practice yogic philosophies and reconnect with their inner Self. Earth Yoga Village is a spiritual place with a unique and inspiring energy that we source from Mother Nature that surrounds us. Founder

Anand Garg

Founder, Managing & Program Director  E-RYT 500 & YACEP (Yoga Alliance certified teacher)

 

Anand who is an ex-banker said goodbye to his desk after having worked in the industry for eleven years and started his journey back to his inner Self through yoga, meditation and other spiritual practices. He trained and graduated as Shiromani of Yoga (Yoga Teacher) at Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in April 2012 and has been teaching, learning, exploring and travelling the world ever since. His itchy traveller feet take him around the world. In March 2016 Anand was certified with Master of Yoga from Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India.  

He has been deeply involved in learning and understanding the yogic philosophies and life for the past 7 years. Anand has attended several Vipassana Silent retreats, Buddhist silent retreats in Mahayana and Theravada tradition. Additionally, he has experienced living in monasteries and communities, organic farming and living with different people from all walks of life.

He is an ardent follower of a fundamental religion of life called “The Law of Nature“. This concept looks at basic understanding of life  as "don't do anything to anyone which you don't want it to be done to you "which advocates compassion towards others.

He fell in love with the life he got to know after his corporate career and thought of establishing an eco-friendly village for yoga and holistic treatments to spread the love and joy of life. His background and experience of life has helped to understand the setting needed to find back to oneself. In his quest he found this beautiful tranquil space at Palolem Beach and decided to let the place inspire people from all over the world.

Kajsa Lieden  

Program Manager & Yoga Teacher 

 

Kajsa is from Sweden and was working as a lawyer for many years, while simultaneously discovering her love for yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Eventually, deciding to leave the corporate life and walk fully on the path of  knowing self thru yoga and healing. In doing so, she found her new home with Earth Yoga Village. She believes in the law of nature and living a life aligned with following her dharma - spreading love, healing herself & others through the practice. She finished her TTC in February 2018 with Earth Yoga Village and has been teaching classes since.than in Sweden till November 2018, She took a conscious decision to join Earth yoga village  in December 2018 she also completed her 100 Hrs Yin & Yoga Nidra In between, her teaching style is very mindful & heart touching yet powerful within the limitation of the participants. she is sharing her love & smiles with us now.

Anushree Singh

 

Yogic Anatomy,Philosophy  & Source of our spiritual knowledge 

Anushree has graduated with honors in yoga philosophy & specializes as an anatomist & yoga therapist as well as bio mechanics of yoga body and breath. She has been training yoga enthusiasts to understand themselves and there practice since last 7 years.her approach towards teaching is friendly as well as firm blending strong tradition knowledge with modern approach.

 

She was introduced to yoga by Dr. Om Anand and her learning still continues from life, as she resides in her Gurus ashram living since she was 11 year old . At present she is pursuing her research on yoga and the nervous system.She believes that we have huge potential within us to know our selves at every dimension and the tools is yoga.she has been powerhouse of inspiration for every student passing by Earth yoga village in last 2 years 

 

Her yoga practice lives on the mantra which says: Stay inspired from within, as outside inspiration is too limited for your awakening.

Olivier Charles

Olivier discovered Yoga while living in London in 2003. Suffering from back pain and running injuries, yoga became an essential tool in his recovery, and later a passion in its own right. Always a student at heart Oliver has recently completed the Advanced Yoga Anatomy course with Tom Myers, building on his understanding of the body and yoga practice even further.

 

Over the years, Olivier has found that the key to a successful practice is honouring the physical body’s limitations – and moving fearlessly into the possibilities of greater strength and flexibility through patient and persistent practice. He has a light hearted, compassionate and playful approach to teaching, and helps his students to grow through self-observation without judgment. Having spent time teaching on trainings and retreats in India, Europe and Japan for the last 8 years, Olivier now owns and runs a yoga retreat centre and a yoga studio in West Japan with his wife, Hiromi. Nichiren Buddhist (SGI) for over twenty years . he brings to the Earth Yoga Village team an extensive knowledge of yoga integrating the best elements of modern yoga, anatomical precision and buddhist teachings.

Alexandra Van Schaik

Dr. Praveena  Shetty

Alexandra is a passionate of words, teaches yoga and meditation, she is an advocate of wellbeing. Originally from the Netherlands, but discovered ’home’ is traveling, so teaching internationally for several trainings and retreats. Inspired by the individual differences of the human body and teaches you to feel home in your body and practice, taking the yoga beyond the mat and integrating this in life.

Yoga and meditation have been a natural way of living and daily practices, but she did not realise this until her in her thirties. Confidence, identity, speaking in public; this was all far from reality growing up, but the desire to share my teachings, has made me step out of my comfort zone and develop myself to the person I now am. Her first teacher training was in India, many other trainings in meditation, anatomy and different lineages of yoga have followed.Besides a yoga teacher, she is as a passionate photographer

M.A & PHD  Yoga Philosophy  Gold Medalist Patanjali Yoga Sutras 

Dr. Praveena Shetty is from India. She has been known for her Multiple Masters /diplomas and a doctorate in Yogasutras & other Indian philosophies. She had been a professor for long duration with K. J. Somaiya Sanskriti Peetham & K. J. Somaiya Buddhism center Mumbai  for & has been teaching yogic philosophies for a decade now.her teaching style is simple & practical 

While she was working as professor at a senior college teaching Human resource and development, life changed for her. She had bouts of  Migraine and so she sought the help of Yoga therapy for physical respite. Little did she know that this was going to be a life changer for her. She is on a nomadic journey for the past one year following the inspiration of Abhyaas and Vairagya.now she is here with us Spreading her Wisdom & Compassion to make this world better place thru  practical application of  Yoga sutras holistically in day to day life.

Passionate about sports and movement and always searching for new things, Angelique discovered Yoga in 2005. There was no love at first sight, though in 2010 she was ready to learn more about yoga and did her first training in India. This tasted like more, so Angelique kept herself inspired by following all sorts of yoga styles and several trainings.

Angelique says: “I am a Dutch yogini, a former nomad, an ex-traveller and now a proud yogi-mum of two boys on an everlasting journey called life! Through my yoga practice I learn about myself. I have learned to become more conscious: being the observer of my thoughts. I am not a saint. I like wine and I love chocolate cake and I am pretty sure I tend to judge from time to time. What I find important is being the best version of myself. I don’t practice yoga to get better at yoga, but I practice yoga to get better in life: trying to cultivate a peaceful, kind-hearted, attentive presence that permeates my daily actions. 

 

I believe we can only grow in life if we are willing to step out of our comport zone!”.

Yoga,Meditation & Buddhist Philosophy Teacher 

Zoe is studying and practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Indian philosophies for the past ten years.  She is a certified Yoga teacher since 2014 and is teaching in Asia and Europe since 2015. She practiced under the guidance of renowned Hatha and Ashtanga teachers and spent three years studying Tibetan Buddhism at Kathmandu University.  Her life is greatly enriched by encounters with authentic spiritual masters and a non-dogmatic application of the teachings received. 

She views Vinyasa Yoga as a dynamic and transformative meditation on the physical and energetic body. Her classes are strong and playful with a focus on alignment, breath and bhandas. She aims to deepen students’ understanding of all aspects of Yoga, while offering tools for practitioner’s to implement Yoga into their daily lives.

Yoga,Meditation & Ceremonies Teacher

Emily began her yoga journey in 2008 as a way to improve her mental health and the stresses of university life. Over the 7 years of teaching, she has always encouraged people to listen to their body, believing in the power of truly feeling a yoga practice rather than just “doing” one. Her path has taken her down many roads, from teaching children with Special Educational Needs, working in drug & alcohol recovery centres, to teaching yoga in all its spiritual wisdom at conscious gatherings.  Throughout her teaching career she has also held a great number of workshops and healing retreats, focusing around breath work, sharing circles, sound healing and heart opening ceremonies.

 

Emily has a keen knowledge of the human body, combining the studies from her Complementary Therapy training, Ayurvedic & Thai Massage traditions, with anatomy & physiology.  Emily has furthermore been driven to deepen her understanding of consciousness by attending various Vipassana meditation courses and Buddhist monasteries where she has gained great discipline. 

 

Another integral part of Emily’s practice is devotional singing. This desire fully awakened within her after a near death experience whilst travelling in China 4 years ago. Since then she has unlocked her desire and determination to sing from her heart the songs of gratitude to our great mother earth, father sky and beyond.  She feels the call to join people in song to inspire others to take positive action for the benefit all beings. 

 

Expect fun challenges, laughter and smiles. 

 

Her Mantra is  “ There is no set path, just follow your heart”

our work exchange is 6 hours a day for 6 days a week in return of a bed in dorm beach hut under yoga holiday programe 

Please keep in mind that this is a self-development work exchange programe for everyone wanting to progress on their spiritual path. On top of working for the village, you are expected to attend at least two classes every day to support your spiritual growth towards living the life you love and loving the life you live.

You shall adhere to all rules and regulations at Earth Yoga Village and failure to do so will result in dismissal and we will ask you to leave.
